The Texas Agricultural Land Trust (TALT) earned re-accreditation from the national Land Trust Accreditation Commission. With this renewed recognition, TALT proves that, as part of a network of more than 400 accredited land trusts across the nation, it is committed to professional excellence and to maintaining the public and landowner’s trust in its conservation work.
“Accreditation is the gold standard for land trusts nation-wide,” said Blair Fitzsimons, TALT CEO. “The accreditation seal ensures that our policies and practices meet the highest standards and gives our partners and donors the confidence that we are here to stay. Our easements are forever, and so is the Texas Ag Land Trust.”
Since 2007, the Texas Ag Land Trust has partnered with landowners to conserve almost 227,000 acres of Texas’ working lands, ensuring that these farms, ranches, wetlands, wildlife habitat, forests, watersheds, coastlands and river corridors will be there for generations of Texans.
